Philosophy Department

The modern philosophy department of H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University provides teaching philosophy and disciplines of the philosophical and humanitarian cycle at all faculties, among them - "Philosophy", "Philosophical education", "Modern communicative philosophy", "History of philosophy", "Global problems of modernity", "Philosophy of education in the field of culture", "Philosophical foundations and ethical guidelines for the scientific project's design". At the department, there are postgraduate and doctoral studies in specialty 033 – Philosophy.

The constant increase in the level of philosophical education in the H.S.Skovoroda KhNPU is facilitated by the orientation of the department to combine educational activities with scientific studies, as evidenced by the systematic conduct of scientific and theoretical seminars and the annual International Scientific and Practical Conference "Education and Destiny of the Nation", professors’ scientific publications - textbooks, monographs, scientific articles; doctoral and postgraduate thesis defense.

Head of the Department Kultayeva Maria Dmytrivna - Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Head of the Philosophy Department of the H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University. A president of the Ukrainian education of philosophy association, a member of the Society for Philosophical Pedagogy named by Bronislaw F. Trentowsky, a member of the Ukrainian Philosophical Literature Translators Association.
