What is a trade union?

A trade union is a voluntary non-profit organisation that represents and protects the rights and lawful interests of its members. The student trade union of H. S. Skovoroda KhNPU works to protect the socio-economic, housing and welfare rights and interests of students.

About the student trade union of KhNPU

The primary trade union organisation of students of H. S. Skovoroda KhNPU represents the student community on matters of social protection, observance of rights and social guarantees for students.

For students' convenience, union representatives work at every faculty of the university. They can be approached with questions about union membership, social protection, everyday matters and other issues related to students' rights.

What the union does

The main areas of the union's work are:

Housing and welfare

Help with matters related to living in the halls of residence and other everyday welfare issues.

Sports and health

Support for sports and health events, for students taking part in university sports and for promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Organisational work

Running the union structure, working with faculty representatives, informing students and coordinating union activity.

Culture and events

Organising and supporting cultural, educational and leisure events for students.

Social and legal protection

Representing and protecting students' rights and lawful interests, providing advice, informing about social guarantees and helping to resolve social issues.
