What counts as plagiarism
Plagiarism is the appropriation of authorship of someone else’s work of science, literature or art, or of someone else’s discovery, invention or rationalisation proposal, as well as the use of someone else’s work without a reference to its author.

The legal definition of the term first appeared in Ukrainian regulations only in July 2001, in the new wording of the Law of Ukraine “On Copyright and Related Rights”.
Three main types of plagiarism
Copying someone else’s work (with or without their knowledge) and publishing it under your own name.
Presenting a mixture of your own and borrowed arguments without properly citing the sources.
Paraphrasing someone else’s work without a properly formatted reference to the original author or publisher.
