Department of English Philology

The Department of English Philology was created in 1990 on the basis of the Department of Roman and Germanic Philology, which had existed since 1986. In October 2022, the Department was expanded as it was joined by the English Language Department.
The Department of English Philology was headed by Professor Nataliia Tuchyna, PhD (Education), from 1986 to 2000, and by Associate Professor Ihor Kamynin, PhD (Philology), from 2000 to 2021. Since April 2021, Nataliia Tuchyna has resumed the position of the Head of the Department.
The teaching staff comprises 19 teachers, 2 professors and 16 Associate Professors among them. 2 more Professors are working as part-time teachers (L. Kornilieva and O. Kovalenko). All teachers have been upgrading their skills at different leading universities in Ukraine and abroad, have participated in numerous scientific conferences and webinars as well as several international projects.
