 EDUCATION AND ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

Associate Professor S. Bakay graduated from the Faculty of Solo Singing of the Kharkiv National University of Arts named after I. Kotlyarevsky in the specialty "Singing" and received the qualification "Opera Singer, Concert Singer, Teacher" in 1998.
From 2000 to 2003, she studied at the Postgraduate School of Kharkiv National Pedagogical University named after H. Skovoroda.

In 2004 she defended her dissertation "Musical-pedagogical and educational activities of H. Skovoroda in Slobozhanshchina" and received the degree of candidate of pedagogical sciences in the specialty 13.00.01 – General Pedagogy and History of Pedagogy (scientific supervisor -candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor L. Popova).
She received the academic title of associate professor in 2004.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER

From 2004 to the present, she has been working as an Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Technologies of preschool education and art disciplines of Kharkiv National Pedagogical University named after H. Skovoroda.
Member of the organizing committee of the second stage of the All-Ukrainian student Olympiad in specialty 012 "preschool education" among students of higher educational institutions, which was held in Kharkiv National Pedagogical University named after H. Skovoroda (2017-2019).
Head of the scientific student group "Music Therapy for preschoolers: history and modernity".
Associate Professor S. Bakay teaches training courses: "Fundamentals of Scientific Research", "Theory and Methodology of Musical Education", "Singing with a Practical Guide to Children's Groups", " Methods of Teaching Art Disciplines»

RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Research interests of S. Bakay: the historical and pedagogical aspect is studied, in particular, the musical, pedagogical and educational activities of an outstanding philosopher, teacher and musician of the XVIII century H. Skovoroda; preparation of educational materials and vocal works for children of preschool and primary school age; development of educational materials on the impact of music therapy on the comprehensive development of preschool children.
The author of more than 80 scientific and educational works.
