In the first half of the 2000s, the university management and the Faculty of History decided to create a new specialization «Law». Therefore, in September 2002 it was founded, Department of Historical and Legal Disciplines which has passed in the development transformation through the Department of Law into the Department of Social and Legal Sciences and Management of Education. The educational process is carried out on a full-time and part-time basis.

Subject of the Research Work of the Department: «Legal education of youth in the context of the formation of civil society»

The purpose of the department is to educate eternal human values, worthy man and citizen, patriot of the Ukrainian state, the leading activity of the department is the organization professionally-oriented educational work with students, national-patriotic education, career guidance work.

Tasks of the department:

• organization and implementation of educational and scientific-methodical work in the disciplines taught at the department;
• introduction into the educational process of innovative technologies, methods and techniques that provide effective training and professional growth of higher education;
• improving the organization of internal quality control of teaching, including through mutual visits.
