Educational work at the faculty of Preschool Education

"Creative educator is the key to a happy childhood"

Educational work at the faculty is an important component of the educational process. It is aimed at forming the worldview and values-based orientations ​​of the student youth, providing ample opportunities for mastering the basics of disciplines, the treasure of the national and world culture, creating conditions for free, environmentally friendly, harmonious development, individual and professional self-improvement. The starting points of the educational process are the principles of the national education of the student youth, which determine the requirements for the content, organization and methods of education.

Educational work is carried out at the Faculty of Preschool Education in accordance with the concept of educational work of H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University. Its main areas of work are

• national patriotic education;
• civic and legal education;
• cultural work;
• sports activities;
• voluntary work;

Students of the faculty conduct special educational activities in academic groups, attend concerts, theater and art performances. Cultural and educational and artistic meetings with artists are organized, we conduct creative evenings, readings of fiction and poetry by teachers and students of the faculty.

We traditionally celebrate student and faculty holidays, anniversaries dedicated to Ukrainian artists and the world art culture. During the years of the activity of the faculty a large number of cultural and educational events, art programs, concerts, exhibitions of fine arts of student works have been organized and held. Students of our faculty visit orphanages, organize trade fairs, funds from which are transferred to ATO soldiers.

The Faculty of Preschool Education constantly carries out individual work with students and their families, the privileged contingent (orphans, disabled), migrants from the ATO zone. Curators control over student attendance and student academic performance. We pay enough attention to students’ accommodation in the dormitory and compliance with safety rules.

Thanks to the rich creative activity at the faculty, we form such important qualities of students as a sense of human dignity; honesty, conscientiousness, justice, objectivity; endurance, restraint, patience; organizational and leadership skills, ability to work with children's team; love for children; comprehensive development; principled and exactingness; optimism and love of life; sensitivity, humane attitude to people; creative thinking; tact.

Thus, in order to achieve greater efficiency of the educational process, we adhere to the national and universal unity principles, principles of scientificity and professionalism, natural and cultural conformity of education, humanization, democratization, continuity, differentiation and individualization of the educational process, activity, amateur performance and creative initiative of the student youth, integration of traditional and new forms of educational work, harmonization of family and social education, unity of education and upbringing. Worldview turns into views and beliefs only when the assimilation of knowledge takes place in an interesting and accessible form.
