Education:

1989 – Docent N. Roman graduated from the I.P. Kotlyarevsky KharkivInstitute of Arts, specialty «Instrumental performance», specialization «Folk instruments»; received the qualification «Artist, conductor of the national instrument`s orchestra, teacher».

1997-2000 – postgraduate at of H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University

Defended dissertation:

In 2000 defended the dissertation on the theme «Formation of musical culture of youth at the creative and pedagogical activities of G. Khotkevych in Slobozhanshchyna» and in 2001 received the PhD degree in Pedagogical Sciences on specialty 13.00.01 – General Pedagogy and History of Pedagogy. (scientific supervisor – PhD, professor Lyudmila Popova). In 2002 – received the academic rank of a docent. In 2008 – received second academic degree «Doctor of Sciences»

Professional career:

From 1992 to the present – teacher, postgraduate, head of the Department, docent of H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National  Pedagogical University.

Docent N. Roman teaches courses «Pedagogical support of gifted children», «Modern technologies of musical and aesthetic education of children», «Folk crafts of Slobozhanshchina», «History of musical art», «Workshop on musical and educational activities».

Research interest`s sphere:

Research interests of docent N. Roman related to the problems of synergy of tradition and innovation in art at the context of globalization on the vector of preparation of future educators for professional activity in preschool education, pedagogical support of gifted children and the implementation of modern technologies of art discipleines teaching.

Has more than 80 scientific and educational works.
