On April 9, 2020, the All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference with International Participation «Spiritual Values in the Artistic Space: Individual and Social Context» was held online at H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University. The Conference organizers were Department of World Literature and Theory and Practice of the English Language in H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University. The head of organizing committee is Doctor of Science in Education, Full Professor, Yuriy Boychuk. Virtual communication provided an opportunity to share new scientific discoveries, get acquainted with the unknown facts, and the most significant to attract young people, our pride and future, our postgraduate students. These important questions were considered by more than 100 scientists from Iraq, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Belarus, and Ukraine, representing 36 universities. Today we have 29 doctors of sciences, 32 candidates of sciences (PhD in Philology), 11 senior University teachers, methodologists, 21 postgraduate students from different cities: Bakhmut, Berdyansk, Bratislava, Grodno, Dnipro, Erbil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Kyiv, Krakow, Kropyvnytskyi, Lviv, Magdeburg, Mykolayiv, Minsk, Ternopil, Uman, Kharkiv, Kherson.

Spiritual values reflect the subjective perceptions of an individual who is forced to communicate at the level of various social institutions: education, economics, art, medicine, law, religion, leisure. The values of an individual are formed under the influence of real everyday life and metaphysical energy space, which is absorbed by a modern person of the XXI century. Spiritual values are changing in historical evolution. Art and science reflect spiritual values at the level of ideas, conflicts, problems, and social institutions influence the formation of a world picture in which an individual is inscribed. The humanities attract publiс attention and social awareness talking about the ambiguity and danger to human life because of today's technical progress imposed on an individual by states and their establishments. These establishments include hospitals, churches, schools, universities, education, publishing, writing, business, IT-companies. The main message from scientists: be careful. You shouldn’t agree on everything that makes our life easier. It is necessary to think: what's behind it? How much time do we waste? What will we pay for it? Who will pay?

The purpose of the conference was to discuss the system of artistic interests of writers / native speakers, which influence the intellectual, moral, emotional layers of ideas, conflicts, characters / speech acts and form the values of authors, directions, society. On the basis of psychological and analytical interpretation, it is suggested to pay attention to the internal conflicts of the characters in the situational circumstances that shape the variability of psychodrama. It has led to establish the processes of assimilation / denial of cultural norms, social values of characters that highlight the impact of society on the psyche of an individual, his/her reflection, allowing to choose types of actions of the subject / object in language, literature, cinema, art, psychology, sociology, pedagogy, methodology.
