Ukrainian History Department

The main objective of the department is to give the applicants systemic concepts about the history of Ukraine, to prepare professionals, who have fundamental knowledge and practical skills and who can use them in professional life – in academic, scientific, educational, mass cultural and administrative spheres.

Strategic Tasks of the department:

• to teach basic and special disciplines of history at all university departments;
• to improve the quality of professional training and expand the outlook of future specialists;
• to introduce new approaches and achievements of history science to higher education applicants;
• to organize research work of higher education applicants and their learning of different principles, methods, and tools of scientific and research work.

The department consists of 7 university teachers: 2 doctors and 5 associate professors. Scientific and pedagogical workers of the Department of History teach academic disciplines according to their specialities and qualifications. The staff of the department is stable; this ensures to preserve traditions, to combines experience and willingness to change, to use innovations in line with modern requirements of educational and scientific work. The staff of the department successfully work on the following scientific topic «History of Ukraine: problems of social, political, cultural, and economical development». A post-graduate course operates within the department.
