Harmony and Chaos: Unity or Conflict

On May 21, 2019, at  H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, as part of the Science Day, scientists of the Department of World Literature held a scientific round table: "Harmony and Chaos: Unity or Conflict." The scientific discussion was between specialists from different disciplines, as the topic opened the prospect of intersection of interdisciplinary contacts in architecture, law, psychology, sociology, history, language, literature.

The organizers of the round table "Harmony and Chaos: Unity or Conflict" I.F. Prokopenko, Yu.D. Boychuk, S.K. Kryvoruchko privided the participants the opportunity to share scientific discoveries, get acquainted with the unknown facts, and most significant one is to involve young people our pride and future, our students and postgraduate students.

The work of the round table was opened by S.S. Zub, Vice-Rector for Innovation and Prospects for the Development of H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv Pedagogical National University. The evolution of the aesthetic category of "harmony" from Antiquity to the beginning of XXI century was discussed and "chaos" was realized as a decentralized structure or rhizome, which is rather important for modern science. In understanding the essence of the "conflict", the attention is drawn to the influence of the Eastern tradition, which forms in the culture the idea of "unity" in the conflict.

Understanding the architectural masterpieces of chaos of the twentieth century by L.V. Starodubtseva, interpretation of the heroization of social anomie in the poetry of M.M. Sappa, accents of DAO and inspiration in Chinese medieval poetry by J.V. Shekery and other discussion reports proved the openness of the scientific dialogue, which continues after the meeting.

The round table study was attended by 56 scientists from Ukraine, Armenia and China, representing 20 universities. Among participants 18 doctors of sciences, 25 candidates of sciences, senior teachers and teachers (4), 8 postgraduate students. Foreign colleagues from China joined from the city of Luoyang, as well as Ukrainian researchers from Bakhmut, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kamyanets-Podilsky, Kyiv, Lviv, Odessa, Poltava, and Kharkiv universities.
