History of the Department of Fine Arts

The Department of Fine Arts dates back to September 1, 1983 year, when the Pedagogical Department has opened the Department of Music, Aesthetics, and Fine Arts under the direction of O. Kuznetsova. The first staff of the department was as follows: L. Yeskova, E. Varshavska, T. Glazirina, N. Lagutina, I. Korshunova, T. Smirnova, N. Zelentsova. Since 1984, O. Danylevych has been taking responsibilities as the head of the fine arts section and teaching at the department. To teaching team joined V. Khmelnytsky and V. Paltsev. Until 1986, the department was replenished by specialists in fine arts, mostly graduates of KhKhPI: N. Vykhovanchuk, L. Grebenshchikova, L. Kotlyarova, V. Tymoshevsky, as well as Ph.D. of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor V. Zlobin, Ph.D. art history, Associate Professor V. Nemtsova, T. Marchenko, T. Agapova, M. Abrosimova.

With the arrival of young talented artists-teachers in August 1986, the Department of Music, Aesthetics and Fine Arts is divided into two independent departments: the Department of music (head of the department O. Kuznetsov) and the Department of fine arts, art, and drawing (head of the department T. Marchenko).

Since 1987, the department has been assigned to the physics-mathematics faculty. Later, graduates received a teacher's specialization in fine arts, drawing, and labor.

Since 1989 O. Danilevich has been the head of the Department of Fine Arts and Drawing. However, on the basis of the decision of the Academic Council of October 27, 1989, with Departments of Fine Arts and Drawing form two departments - the Department of Methods of the art teaching and the Department of fine arts and drawing.

The structure of the departments was as follows: the Department of Fine Arts and Drawing - Head of the Department - N. Vykhovanchuk, teachers: T. Agapova, M. Boyko, O. Volkov, V. Zlobin, L. Kotlyarova, L. Reznikova, O. Lazarev, V. Timoshevsky, A. Yaroshenko, A. Shimov; Department of Methods of Artistic Teaching: Head of the department - O. Danilevich; teachers: M. Abrosimova, L. Grebenshchikova, E. Spivakova, Y. Teslenko, L. Ryazanova, J. Chebotova, N. Uskova.

In 1990, the Faculty of Graphic Arts was founded, which headed by Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor N. Shilovtseva. They functioned at the faculty Department of Fine Arts under the leadership of Associate Professor N. Vykhovanchuk, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1990–2006) and Ukrainian decorative and applied arts and graphics - head of the Department V.Tymoshevsky, Associate Professor (1992), People's Excellence Education of Ukraine (1990–2016).

For many years at the Department of Fine Arts worked a lot of talented teachers, such as Ph.D. of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor T.Vysikailo, Ph.D. of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor V. Zlobin, senior lecturer O. Lazarev, Ph.D. of art history, Associate Professor V. Nemtsov, senior lecturer L. Reznikov and others. Members of the national union of artists of Ukraine: Ph.D. of art history, Associate Professor O.Kotlyar, Ph.D. of Psychology, Associate Professor L.Kotlyarova, Assoc. V.Kulik, Assoc. A. Radomska, Assoc. V. Khmelnytsky, Honored Artist of Ukraine, prof. W. Chaus. Laureate Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine 2010, People's Prize artist of Ukraine, acad. V. Kovtun.

From 2007-2020 the department is headed by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Ph.D. of Art History, professor T.Panyok.

For many years the department has been replenished with young teachers: Ph.D. of Pedagogical Sciences, Assoc. prof. A.Altukhova, Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine D. Chaus, V. Makarenko and others.

In 2020, it was attached to the Department of Fine Arts Department of Ukrainian Decorative and Applied Arts and Graphics - Head of the Department Ph.D. of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Chen Natalia Vladimirovna (2016–2020). At different times at the department taught: Ph.D. of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor I. Malinin, Ph.D. of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor S. Inozemtseva, associate professor P. Motsenko (excellent education of Ukraine), M. Prigodin (a member of the Union of Designers of Ukraine), Ph.D. of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor L. Lisunov, Yu. Lipchanska, N. Lipovska, O. Denisevych, O. Soldatkin, L. Grebinshchikova, M. Abrosimova, Ph.D. of Psychology, Associate Professor Y. Chebotova, I. Smirnova, Ph.D. of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor L. Grigorov, M.
